Affiliate Program Terms
These terms govern your participation in the Trading News Terminal affiliate program. By applying to or participating in the program, you agree to be bound by them.
01 Acceptance & Eligibility
These Affiliate Program Terms ("Affiliate Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("Affiliate", "you") and Trading News Terminal ("Company", "we", "us", "our") governing your participation in our affiliate program (the "Program"). They incorporate our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy by reference. Where these Affiliate Terms conflict with the Terms of Use in respect of the Program, these Affiliate Terms prevail.
To take part in the Program you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. You must provide accurate registration and payout details and keep them current. We may decline any application at our discretion.
02 Enrollment & Approval
Participation begins only after you apply, verify your email address, and we approve your account. Approval is at our sole discretion, and we may set individual conditions (including your commission tier and any discount code) on a case-by-case basis.
Upon approval you receive a unique referral link containing your affiliate code (for example, https://tradingnewsterminal.com?ref=YOURCODE). Your referral link is the only mechanism that attributes a customer to you. You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
03 Commission Structure
Commissions are earned on qualifying paid subscriptions to Trading News Terminal Pro that are correctly attributed to your referral link. Tiers are based on your number of active referred customers and unlock as follows:

Commission basis. Commission is calculated on the net amount actually paid by the customer, excluding VAT and other taxes and after any discount applied. It is not calculated on the list price or on the tax portion.
First payment. The "first payment" is the customer's first successful paid invoice for a Pro subscription. Where a subscription starts with a free trial, the first payment is the first real charge after the trial ends.
Tier upgrades. Tier thresholds are measured by your count of active referred customers. Upgrades take effect once approved by us and apply to conversions occurring after the upgrade; they are not applied retroactively.
A customer subscribes to Pro at €40/month and uses your 15% code. They pay €34 net of tax. At Tier 1 your commission is 20% of €34 = €6.80 on that first payment.
04 Attribution & Tracking
A sale is credited to you only when the customer reaches Trading News Terminal through your referral link. Attribution is recorded in the visitor's browser when they arrive via your link and is carried through sign-up and checkout, where it is credited on the first successful payment.
The Program uses last-referral attribution: if a visitor later arrives through a different affiliate's link, the most recent link is credited. Attribution may be lost or reassigned if the visitor clears their browser storage, switches device or browser, blocks tracking, or arrives through another affiliate. We do not guarantee that every sale you influence will be attributed.
Self-referrals are not eligible. You may not earn commission on your own purchases or on purchases made using your own details.
Commissions are recorded as pending when a payment succeeds and become payable only after they have cleared the holding period in Section 6. We reserve the right to review, adjust, or reverse any commission that we reasonably believe results from error, fraud, abuse, or a breach of these Affiliate Terms.
05 Discount Codes
At our discretion we may issue a discount code linked to your account for your audience. Any such code, its discount amount, and its duration are set by us and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
A discount code reduces the customer's price. It does not, by itself, credit a commission to you. Commissions are credited through your referral link only. To be credited, the customer must arrive through your link, whether or not they also use a code.
You must not misrepresent a code, present expired or invented offers, alter the code, or combine it with unauthorised incentives. You must not imply that a code is endorsed by us beyond the terms we have communicated to you.
06 Payments & Payouts
Held and available balances
Every commission is first recorded as held. A held commission is not yet payable and is shown separately in your affiliate dashboard while the customer's refund, cancellation, and withdrawal period is still open.
A commission becomes available (valid for payout) only after a clearance period of 30 days from the date of the underlying customer payment, provided that period has passed without a refund, cancellation, or chargeback. Until then it stays held and cannot be withdrawn. The figure shown as your available balance is therefore only the amount that has already cleared this period; the remainder is displayed as held.
If a customer is refunded, cancels under a right of withdrawal, or charges back their payment, we may withhold and cancel the related commission, whether or not the clearance period has ended. Only commissions on payments that have cleared this period and remain fully paid are treated as valid and payable to you.
Minimum balance & requests
You may request a payout once your available balance reaches a minimum of €50. Held amounts do not count toward this minimum and cannot be requested. Payouts are made in EUR by bank transfer to the details you provide, normally within 15 business days of an approved request.
Refunds & chargebacks after payout
If a payment that generated a commission already paid to you is later refunded, reversed, cancelled, or charged back (which can occur after the clearance period), the corresponding commission is cancelled, and we may offset it against your future commissions or request its return.
Taxes
You are solely responsible for any taxes, social contributions, or duties arising on your commissions. Commissions are stated gross of any tax you may owe. Where you are a business required to issue invoices, you agree to invoice us for approved amounts before payment.
07 Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Refer yourself or generate commissions through your own purchases
- Bid on our brand names, trademarks, or common misspellings in paid search, or use them in ad copy or domains in a way likely to mislead
- Send spam or unsolicited messages, or promote the Program in violation of any platform's rules or applicable law
- Make false, misleading, or exaggerated claims about the Service, its features, pricing, or results, or promise any financial or investment return
- Use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden frames, malware, or any method that artificially inflates clicks or conversions
- Offer unauthorised cash rebates, or discounts beyond a code we have approved for you
- Register domain names, social handles, or accounts that impersonate us or suggest you are us
- Promote the Service through content that is unlawful, deceptive, adult, hateful, or otherwise damaging to our reputation
Breach of this section may result in withheld or forfeited commissions and immediate termination.
08 Brand & Marketing
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use our name and logo solely to promote the Service under the Program, in line with any brand guidance we provide. This licence ends when your participation ends.
You must present the Service accurately and, where required by law, clearly disclose that your links and codes are affiliate links from which you may earn a commission. You must not modify our logo or brand assets or use them to imply a partnership beyond the affiliate relationship.
09 Relationship of the Parties
You participate as an independent contractor. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between you and us. You have no authority to bind us, incur obligations on our behalf, or make representations for us. You are responsible for your own costs and equipment.
10 No Earnings Guarantee
We make no representation or guarantee about the level of traffic, conversions, or earnings you may achieve through the Program. Your results depend on your own efforts and factors outside our control. Past or example figures are illustrative only and are not a promise of future income.
11 Term & Termination
Either party may end participation at any time, with or without cause, by written notice (email is sufficient). We may also suspend your account while we investigate a suspected breach.
Effect of termination without cause. Approved commissions above the minimum balance are paid on the normal schedule, and pending commissions are paid once they have cleared, subject to Section 6.
Effect of termination for breach or fraud. All unpaid commissions, whether pending or approved, may be forfeited, and we may reclaim commissions already paid that relate to the breach or fraud.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, 9, 12, and 13) continue to apply.
12 Liability & Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Program is limited to the total commissions payable to you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits or opportunities.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your participation in the Program, your marketing activities, or your breach of these Affiliate Terms or of any applicable law.
13 Governing Law & Changes
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lisbon, Portugal, unless mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
We may update these Affiliate Terms or the Program (including commission rates, tiers, thresholds, and payout terms) at any time. We will give notice of material changes by email or within your dashboard. Your continued participation after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop participating in the Program.
