The four events that move global markets most, with their official 2026 and 2027 dates and release times. Sourced from the Federal Reserve, the ECB and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Bookmark this page, then watch them live in the terminal.
If you trade forex, indices, bonds or commodities, these are the dates that reshape the tape: two central-bank rate decisions and the two US data prints that set the tone between them. Below are the confirmed schedules. Central-bank dates for 2027 are tentative until each central bank confirms them, and data release dates can be rescheduled, so always check the live calendar on the day. Times are given in the market's own time zone.
The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meets eight times a year. The rate decision and statement land at 2:00 PM ET on the second day, with the Chair's press conference at 2:30 PM ET. Four meetings a year (March, June, September, December) also publish the Summary of Economic Projections and the dot plot, which tend to be the higher-volatility events.

A date on a page is a starting point. What matters on the day is getting the number the instant it prints and knowing whether it beat or missed. Trading News Terminal puts all four of these events on one live economic calendar, with countdown timers and the previous value and consensus forecast for each. When the actual figure publishes, it is injected into the news feed with a colour-coded beat or miss signal, in seconds, the moment it crosses the wire.
On Pro, HIGH-impact events like FOMC, NFP and CPI also trigger the Squawk Box, which reads the headline aloud so you can keep your eyes on the chart, and every item is tagged to the assets it moves across six asset classes: forex, indices, stocks, commodities, crypto and bonds. See how we time and classify releases in our methodology.
The FOMC holds eight scheduled meetings per year. The rate decision is announced at 2:00 PM ET on the second day, with a press conference at 2:30 PM ET, and four of those meetings also publish the Summary of Economic Projections and dot plot.
Nonfarm Payrolls, part of the Employment Situation report, is released at 8:30 AM ET, usually on the first Friday of the month.

Trading News Terminal shows all of these on one real-time economic calendar with countdown timers, forecasts and automatic beat/miss signals the moment the data prints. The economic calendar is free on all plans.
